The issuing state is what matters, not where you live now. A document issued or notarized in another state goes to that state's office, and documents from federal agencies go to the U.S. Department of State through our federal apostille service.
Oklahoma apostille and authentication for Oklahoma-issued documents. Choose Apostille for Hague Convention countries, Authentication for non-Hague countries where an embassy step follows, or International Adoption Apostille for intercountry adoption files. It covers birth certificates for dual citizenship, marriage records, background checks, commercial invoices, powers of attorney, corporate resolutions, degree verifications, and adoption decrees, home studies, post-placement reports, and agency letters. Trilogy Notary Services LLC prepares the file, arranges notarization, and manages the Oklahoma Secretary of State submission for clients nationwide.

Government processing times are set by the issuing office and change during the year. We don't promise a delivery date that depends on a government office, and we'll tell you the current timing when we review your order.

The Oklahoma Secretary of State, Certification Department. Trilogy Notary Services is a private document services company: we prepare and submit your request and track it, but the apostille itself is issued by the state office.
An apostille is attached only to a notarized original document or a certified copy of an original document. Certified court documents (including marriage licenses and divorce decrees) must be dated within one year of submission; a current copy comes from the Court Clerk in the issuing county. We check for these before anything is filed.
No. Documents issued and signed by a federal agency, such as an FBI background check, are authenticated by the U.S. Department of State, not by the Oklahoma Secretary of State. We handle those through our federal apostille service.
For non-Hague countries, Oklahoma issues this instead of a standard apostille: Certificate of Signature. Many non-Hague countries then require embassy or consulate legalization, which we handle through our embassy legalization service. Tell us the destination country when you book.
The Oklahoma Secretary of State does not publish a standard processing time. Total time depends on the state's queue plus shipping both ways. We confirm current timing when we review your order, and we don't promise a delivery date we don't control.
